A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Fortinet FortiOS up to 5.2.3 (Firewall Software). This issue affects an unknown part of the component FortiGuard Communication. FortiOS 5.0.x before 5.0.12 and 5.2.x before 5.2.4 supports anonymous, export, RC4, and possibly other weak ciphers when using TLS to connect to FortiGuard servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof TLS content by modifying packets.
The weakness was published 07/28/2015 with Citrix as FG-IR-15-021 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at fortiguard.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-2323 since 03/18/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
