A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Linux Kernel 3.11-4.0 (Operating System). Affected is the function path_openat. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a use after free vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-416. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. A possible mitigation has been published 6 days after the disclosure of the vulnerability. The vulnerability will be addressed with the following lines of code:
