A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2 (Operating System). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component UDDI Services. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses : XSS. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 91077 (Microsoft UDDI Services Privilege Elevation Vulnerability (MS15-087)).
Applying the patch MS15-087 is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at technet.microsoft.com. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
