A vulnerability was found in WP Symposium up to 15.7 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file get_album_item.php. The manipulation of the argument size with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in the WP Symposium plugin before 15.8 for WordPress allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the size parameter to get_album_item.php.
The weakness was published 08/19/2015 by PizzaHatHacker (Website). The advisory is shared at exploit-db.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-6522 since 08/19/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 15.8 eliminates this vulnerability.
