Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the quick edit function in xmlhttp.php in MyBB (aka MyBulletinBoard) before 1.8.5 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the content of a post.
The weakness was disclosed 09/03/2015 (Website). The advisory is shared at blog.mybb.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-4552 since 06/14/2015. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
