The kernel in Apple OS X before 10.10.5 does not properly mount HFS volumes, which allows local users to cause a denial of service via a crafted volume.
The weakness was shared 09/16/2015 by Maxime Villard with m00nbsd as HT205212 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2015-5748 since 08/06/2015. The exploitability is told to be easy. Attacking locally is a requirement.
