The HipChat for JIRA plugin before 6.30.0 for Atlassian JIRA allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary Java code via unspecified vectors, related to "Velocity Template Injection Vulnerability."
The weakness was disclosed 09/21/2015 (Website). The advisory is shared at confluence.atlassian.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-5603 since 07/20/2015. The attack can be launched remotely. A single authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
