No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Upgrading to version 10.1.16 or 11.0.13 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 20603.
