ntpq in NTP 4.2.x before 4.2.8p4, and 4.3.x before 4.3.77 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via crafted mode 6 response packets.

The weakness was disclosed 10/21/2015 by Cisco with Cisco Talos as cisco-sa-20151021-ntp as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-7852 since 10/16/2015. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
