Buffer underflow in libjar in Mozilla Firefox before 42.0 and Firefox ESR 38.x before 38.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted ZIP archive.
The weakness was disclosed 11/03/2015 as MFSA 2015-12 as confirmed security advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at mozilla.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-7194 since 09/16/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
