readfilemap.c in expat before 2.1.0 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (file descriptor consumption) via a large number of crafted XML files.

Multiple vulnerabilities existed in expat version prior to 2.1.0. These were addressed by updating expat to versions 2.1.0.

Upgrading to version 10.11.2 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
