The weakness was disclosed 12/08/2015 with Apple as HT205639 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-7104 since 09/16/2015. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Multiple memory corruption issues existed in WebKit. These issues were addressed through improved memory handling.

It is assigned to the family Windows and running in the context l. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 124424 (Apple iTunes Prior to 12.3.2 Multiple Vulnerabilities (APPLE-SA-2015-12-11-1)).
Upgrading to version 9.0.2 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
