A vulnerability was found in Moxa OnCell Central Manager up to 2.1 (Automation Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects the function RequestController of the component Login. The login function in the RequestController class in Moxa OnCell Central Manager before 2.2 has a hardcoded root password, which allows remote attackers to obtain administrative access via a login session.

The weakness was released 12/21/2015 by Andrea Micalizzi (rgod) (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at ics-cert.us-cert.gov. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-6481 since 08/17/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
