Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in ZTE ZXHN H108N R1A. Affected is some unknown processing of the file cgi-bin/webproc. The manipulation of the argument getpage with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability (File). CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, and integrity. CVE summarizes:
Absolute path traversal vulnerability in cgi-bin/webproc on ZTE ZXHN H108N R1A devices before ZTE.bhs.ZXHNH108NR1A.k_PE allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a full pathname in the getpage parameter.
The weakness was shared 12/30/2015 by Karn Ganeshen (Website). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2015-7250. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details and a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1006 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
