The weakness was presented 01/19/2016 by Juwei Lin with Trend Micro as HT205731 as confirmed advisory (Website) via ZDI (Zero Day Initiative). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-1718 since 01/13/2016. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
