Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, has been found in CGit up to 0.11. This issue affects the function authenticate_post of the component HTTP Header Handler. The manipulation of the argument Content-Length with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Integer overflow in the authenticate_post function in CGit before 0.12 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a large value in the Content-Length HTTP header, which triggers a buffer overflow.
