A vulnerability was found in Apple Safari up to 9.0.2 (Web Browser). It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown functionality of the component WebKit. Multiple memory corruption issues existed in WebKit. These issues were addressed through improved memory handling.

It is assigned to the family MacOS X Local Security Checks and running in the context l. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 124582 (Apple Safari 9.0.3 Not Installed (APPLE-SA-2016-01-19-3)).
Upgrading to version 9.0.3 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
