The MQXR service in WMQ Telemetry in IBM WebSphere MQ 7.1 before 7.1.0.7, 7.5 through 7.5.0.5, and 8.0 before 8.0.0.4 uses world-readable permissions for a cleartext file containing the SSL keystore password, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by reading this file.
The weakness was released 02/08/2016 (Website). The advisory is shared at www-01.ibm.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-2012 since 02/18/2015. An attack has to be approached locally. Required for exploitation is a single authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1552 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 7.1.0.7, 7.5.0.5 or 8.0.0.4 eliminates this vulnerability.
