Ipswitch MOVEit DMZ before 8.2 provides different error messages for authentication attempts depending on whether the user account exists, which allows remote attackers to enumerate usernames via a series of SOAP requests to machine.aspx.
The weakness was shared 02/10/2016 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at profundis-labs.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-7680 since 10/02/2015. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
