The GMS ViewPoint (GMSVP) web application in Dell SonicWALL GMS, Analyzer, and UMA EM5000 7.2, 8.0, and 8.1 before Hotfix 168056 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via vectors related to configuration input.
The weakness was presented 02/17/2016 (Website). The advisory is shared at support.software.dell.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-2396 since 02/16/2016. The attack can be launched remotely. A single authentication is required for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
