A vulnerability has been found in Cisco ACE up to A5(3.0) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component Device Manager GUI. The Device Manager GUI in Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE) 4710 A5 before A5(3.1) allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended RBAC restrictions and execute arbitrary CLI commands with admin privileges via an unspecified parameter in a POST request, aka Bug ID CSCul84801.
The weakness was shared 02/26/2016 with Cisco as CSCul84801 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-1297 since 01/03/2016.
