The weakness was disclosed 03/21/2016 with Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) as HT206166 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-1778 since 01/13/2016. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Multiple memory corruption issues were addressed through improved memory handling.
