An unspecified media codec in mediaserver in Android 6.x before 2016-04-01 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted media file, aka internal bug 26220548.
The weakness was published 04/04/2016 as ANDROID-26220548 as confirmed security bulletin (Website). The advisory is available at source.android.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-0834 since 12/16/2015. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
