A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in TTT-C (affected version not known). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component Edit Panel. The manipulation of the argument Webmaster Email with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The weakness was presented 05/19/2004 by Kaloyan Olegov Georgiev (Website). The advisory is shared for download at icefire.org. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details as well as a exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
After even before and not, there has been an exploit disclosed. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 3 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at X-Force (16164), SecurityFocus (BID 10359†), OSVDB (6344†) and Secunia (SA11623†). See VDB-22988, VDB-82024, VDB-82025 and VDB-82026 for similar entries. Once again VulDB remains the best source for vulnerability data.
