A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Pillow and Python Imaging Library (Software Library) (affected version not known). This issue affects the function ImagingPcdDecode of the file PcdDecode.c of the component PhotoCD File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Buffer overflow in the ImagingPcdDecode function in PcdDecode.c in Pillow before 3.1.1 and Python Imaging Library (PIL) 1.1.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted PhotoCD file.
