A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in BookReview (version now known). This affects some unknown processing of the file add_url.htm. The manipulation of the argument node with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. This is going to have an impact on integrity.
The bug was discovered 04/27/2005. The weakness was published 05/26/2005 by Lostmon Lords (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at lostmon.blogspot.com.
