A vulnerability was found in class-1 Forum (Forum Software) (version now known) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file users.php. The manipulation of the argument viewuser_id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The bug was discovered 07/10/2005. The weakness was published 07/14/2005 by Lostmon Lords (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lostmon.blogspot.com. The attack may be launched remotely. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.
