A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Moodle (Learning Management Software) (the affected version unknown). This affects an unknown part of the file jumpto.php. The manipulation of the argument jump with an unknown input leads to a redirect vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was presented 11/10/2005 by rgod (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at rgod.altervista.org. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Technical details and a exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1204.001 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
