A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in PhpWebThings (the affected version unknown). Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the file guestbook.php. The manipulation of the argument tekst with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was shared 12/11/2005 by Yichen Xie and Alex Aiken (rgod) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-4218.
