A vulnerability has been found in DEV Web Management System (version now known) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown processing of the file getfile.php. The manipulation of the argument cat with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was published 12/24/2005 by rgod (Website). The advisory is shared at rgod.altervista.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-4554. The attack can be launched remotely. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
