A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in E-post Products (version now known). This issue affects some unknown processing of the component IMAP Command Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor. Impacted is confidentiality, and integrity.
The bug was discovered 01/13/2006. The weakness was published 01/25/2006 by Tan Chew Keong with Secunia Research (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at secunia.com.
