A vulnerability was found in Content*Builder (Content Management System) (version unknown). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown function of the file guestbook/guestbook.inc.php. The manipulation of the argument path[cb] with an unknown input leads to a code injection vulnerability. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was disclosed 06/11/2006 by Federico Fazzi (Website). The advisory is shared at archives.neohapsis.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-3172 since 06/22/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059 for this issue.
A public exploit has been developed by Federico Fazzi and been published even before and not after the advisory. The exploit is available at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
