A vulnerability has been found in UHP (affected version not known) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the file install.uhp.php. The manipulation of the argument mosConfig_absolute_path with an unknown input leads to a code injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-94. The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was presented 07/30/2006 by Kurdish Security (Website). The advisory is available at forum.joomla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-3995. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
