A vulnerability was found in osCommerce (E-Commerce Management Software) (unknown version) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the file admin/countries.php. The manipulation of the argument page with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Impacted is confidentiality.
The bug was discovered 09/27/2006. The weakness was published 10/04/2006 by Lostmon Lords (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lostmon.blogspot.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2006-5190. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
