A vulnerability was found in IBM WebSphere Application Server up to 8.5.0.1 (Application Server Software). It has been declared as critical. IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 6.1 before 6.1.0.47, 7.0 before 7.0.0.29, 8.0 before 8.0.0.6, and 8.5 before 8.5.0.2 on Linux, Solaris, and HP-UX, when a Local OS registry is used, does not properly validate user accounts, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was released 04/15/2013 as swg1PM75582 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at www-01.ibm.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-0543 since 12/16/2012. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
