A vulnerability was found in CARE2X (Health Information Software) (affected version not known). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file inc_news_save.php. The manipulation of the argument root_path with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was presented 03/13/2007 by Dedi Dwianto a.k.a the_day (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at advisories.echo.or.id. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-1458 since 03/14/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
