A vulnerability was found in DBImageGallery (Photo Gallery Software) (version now known). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file /includes/db_utils.php. The manipulation of the argument Remote with an unknown input leads to a code injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-94. The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was disclosed 02/21/2007 (Website). The advisory is available at archive.cert.uni-stuttgart.de. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-1164 since 02/28/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
