A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in b1gBB (version unknown). This issue affects an unknown function of the file showboard.php. The manipulation of the argument id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in b1gbb 2.24.0 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the id parameter to (1) showthread.php or (2) showboard.php.
The weakness was disclosed 06/28/2007 by GoLd_M (Website). The advisory is shared at exploit-db.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-3589 since 07/05/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
