A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Ip Reg (affected version not known). This affects some unknown functionality of the file vlanedit.php. The manipulation of the argument vlan_id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was disclosed 12/22/2007. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
After immediately, there has been an exploit disclosed. By approaching the search of inurl:vlanedit.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
