A vulnerability was found in 1024 CMS (Content Management System) (version now known). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file admin/ops/reports/ops/forum.php. The manipulation of the argument admin_theme_dir with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality.
The weakness was disclosed 12/21/2007. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1006.
After immediately, there has been an exploit disclosed. By approaching the search of inurl:admin/ops/reports/ops/forum.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
