A vulnerability was found in Apple Mac OS X up to 10.11.4 (Operating System). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component libxml2. The weakness was presented 05/16/2016 by Mateusz Jurczyk (Basti) with Nanyang Technological University as HT206567 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-1838 since 01/13/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
