EMC RSA Archer GRC 5.5.x before 5.5.3.4 allows remote authenticated users to read the web.config.bak file, and obtain sensitive credential information, by modifying the IIS configuration to set a Content-Type header for .bak files.
The weakness was released 06/13/2016 as ESA-2016-047 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-0899 since 12/17/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is necessary for exploitation. Upgrading to version 5.5.3.4 eliminates this vulnerability.
