A vulnerability was found in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager up to 12.1.6 MP4 (Anti-Malware Software) and classified as problematic. Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) 12.1 before RU6 MP5 allows remote authenticated users to conduct server-side request forgery (SSRF) attacks, and trigger network traffic to arbitrary intranet hosts, via a crafted request.
The bug was discovered 06/28/2016. The weakness was published 06/28/2016 with Deloitte as SYM16-011 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at symantec.com.
