A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Horde Groupware up to 5.0.4 (Groupware Software). Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the file Smartphone Contacts of the component Turba. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was published 05/29/2013 by João Machado with Vodafone as not defined mailinglist post (Website). The advisory is available at lists.horde.org. The exploitation is known to be easy.
