The Sandbox Profiles component in Apple iOS before 9.3.3, OS X before 10.11.6, tvOS before 9.2.2, and watchOS before 2.2.2 allows attackers to access the process list via a crafted app that makes an API call.
The weakness was published 07/18/2016 by Stefan Esser with Cisco Talos as HT206903 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-4594 since 05/11/2016. An attack has to be approached locally. A single authentication is necessary for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The advisory points out:
An access issue existed with privileged API calls. This issue was addressed through additional restrictions.

Upgrading to version 10.11.6 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
