Integer overflow in the EVP_EncodeUpdate function in crypto/evp/encode.c in OpenSSL before 1.0.1t and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2h allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap memory corruption) via a large amount of binary data.
The weakness was presented 07/19/2016 by Guido Vranken as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - July 2016 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at oracle.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-2105 since 01/29/2016. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely.
