A vulnerability was found in Perl up to 5.22.3-RC1/5.24.1-RC1 (Programming Language Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component Module Loader. The advisory is shared at nntp.perl.org. The public release has been coordinated with the project team. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-1238. An attack has to be approached locally. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
