Details
A vulnerability was found in VMware vCenter Server 6.0 (Server Management Software). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown processing of the component Header Handler. The manipulation of the argument Server with an unknown input leads to a crlf injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-93. The product uses CRLF (carriage return line feeds) as a special element, e.g. to separate lines or records, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes CRLF sequences from inputs. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
CRLF injection vulnerability in VMware vCenter Server 6.0 before U2 and ESXi 6.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTTP headers and conduct HTTP response splitting attacks via unspecified vectors.
