Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 through 11 and Edge allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a crafted web page, aka "Microsoft Browser Information Disclosure Vulnerability," a different vulnerability than CVE-2016-3326.

The weakness was released 08/09/2016 by Soroush Dalili with NCC Group as MS16-095 / 3177356 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at technet.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-3327 since 03/15/2016. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1592 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 92820 (MS16-096: Cumulative Security Update for Microsoft Edge (3177358)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
