The weakness was published 08/09/2016 with FireEye as MS16-099 / 3177451 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2016-3317 since 03/15/2016. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
